It all started on one of the worst days of all time back in 2019, when Duncan Surf hit rock bottom...

At the time, Duncan was the manager of Cal Surf, a surf/skate shop run by his idiot father, Cal. After being dumped by Tessa, his longtime girlfriend, fiancé, and love of his life, Duncan knew he needed to do something to restore his otherwise depleted dopamine levels. It was then, after Bryce's skate competition, that Johnny Jonny Mendez approached Duncan and said, "What if you started a surf shop, without your dad?"

A lightbulb went off in Duncan's head.

In that moment he came up with the genius idea to start a surf shop without his dad.

Johnny and Duncan spent hours brainstorming the name and eventually landed on 'Dunc Surf', and just two weeks later, they opened a rival surf shop down the street from Cal Surf. Despite Cal's relentless sabotages against Dunc Surf, business boomed.

Gear, vibes, and boards have been slung ever since.
